Malaysians need to make more babies to fill up new homes

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 21): Malaysia needs to have an increase in population growth to sustain the growing housing supply in the market, said property consultancy firm Rahim & Co International Sdn Bhd director of research and strategic planning Sulaiman Saheh.
“I have mentioned this a few years ago – Malaysians, maybe we need to make more babies. Our population is not enough to sustain the supply of residential units in the market,” he told reporters.
While we at movetomalaysia feel this statement is pretty hilarious, we note that indeed there has been overdevelopment in areas such as Kuala Lumpur and Johor over the past 10 years.
The good news is currently the market is soft and prices of properties are coming down to a level that is becoming more affordable for all. It is probably the best time to look into purchasing a property for investment or for your own living!
